Frankie & Benny’s launch Instagram as a new payment method

Pay with pics!

A national Italian-American restaurant has launched a new initiative where social shares can equate to 50% off of their main meals. The restaurant is encouraging customers to share pictures of their meals in return for the discount.

An Italian-American restaurant is offering customers a 50% discount if they take a photo of their food and share it to Instagram. Frankie & Benny’s will be offering customers the deal until the end of the month, which coincides with their new menu change. The new menu focuses on new customer tastes, aimed at a more grown up audience.

Searching #Foodstagram on Instagram will show more than 50 million results of pictures taken by restaurant-goers and foodies, and Frankie & Benny’s is giving its diners the opportunity to combine their love for food with social media to benefit from a discount on their bill.

Customers who snap a picture of their meal and post it to their feed using the hashtag #FrankieAndBennys will receive a 50% discount off their main meal straightaway.

Frankie & Benny’s have redesigned their previous menu which customers thought was too child-like and has replaced it with a new, fresh, contemporary alternative. Of the 26 new ‘grown-up’ dishes, seven are vegan, making a total of 22 vegan dishes on the menu following the success of new vegan additions in January. There is a whole range of bright new salads and desserts including the indulgent Toblerone Cheesecake, as well as the classic Frankie’s favourites.

Frankie & Benny’s Brand Director, Elise Ash, said:

“Foodstagraming is taking over! Everyone likes to take a picture of their food when it comes out, no matter how hungry they are – now you can save some money as a bonus!

“We are really looking forward to our guests’ reaction to this initiative and the new menu as it is the first of many exciting new ideas that we plan to put in front of them this year.

“Following the great success of our extensive vegan range launched in January, we are now looking to focus in on the dishes that our guests have really loved, creating further ways for them to enjoy every aspect of our food.”
