HBO’s hit show Game of Thrones, which is loosely based off UK history, has created a legion of fans and a surge in babies named after the show’s characters.
Yes, fans of the show have begun to name their children after characters such as Khaleesi, Arya, Theon and Renly to name a few. Given the uniqueness of these names, it really makes you remember that the origin of the word “fan” is “fanatic”.
