Shawn Achor is a Harvard Scientist who studied Happiness for years. Shawn’s research shows that there are simple things you can do to be happier. And being Happier will make you more Successful.

1. Success does nor bring Happiness but Happiness brings Success.
We chase success to make us happy but research shows that it is not true. Achieving the next goal will make us briefly happier but soon we will start looking for the next big thing. If you become happy first your chances of success will double.
2. See Problems as Challenges, not Threats.
Shawn did a study on bankers after the huge banking crisis. Most of them were stressed but a few were happy and resilient. Why? Because they saw problems as challenges and enjoyed them. Positive attitude wires your brain for happiness.
3. Want to Resists Stress, Increase Productivity and get a Promotion?Invest in your social connections at work! Instead of working hard alone ensure you find time to socialise and assist others.
The quality of your social connections at work and in personal life is one of the greatest predictors of your happiness.
You are 40% more likely to receive a promotion at work in the next two years if you invest time in building social connections at work.
4. Send a “thank you” e-mail every morning.
The simplest thing you can do is sending a 2 minute e-mail praising or thanking one person that you know for 21 day in a row. And see what will happen!
