According to GlobalData, a leading data and analytics company almost half of consumers did nothing over Valentine’s Day last year and this increased by 2.5ppt on 2016.
Eleanor Parr, Retail Analyst at GlobalData said, “As consumer real income falls and sentiment around Valentine’s Day continues to be pessimistic we forecast that more consumers will shun the event this year and do nothing on the day.”
